At Coastal Medical Group we care about what our patients think of us.

New Telephone Number
Coastal Medical Group is pleased to announce that patients may now contact the surgery on a 01524 telephone number. The changes have been made due to patient feedback on the cost of telephoning the surgery using a 0845 number.
The new number is: 01524 511999
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is aware of problems with its outpatient appointment system.
A team, which includes clinicians, is working to establish the number and nature of appointments that may be affected. If delays are identified, individual patients will be contacted directly to make a new appointment.
Should any patients have immediate concerns about their follow-up appointment they can call a 24 hour, seven days a week, dedicated phone line on 0845 608 0278.

Texting- Appointment Reminder
The surgery is offering text reminders to patients. If you wish to opt out of this service please complete a form which can be found at the reception desk at any site of Coastal Medical Group or click the printable version just below. So far, since starting the text appointment reminders we have found that our unattended appointments have reduced significantly and would like to thank all the patients for using this service.
However, the service will only work if patients keep their contact information up to date, so remember to tell us of any change in your contact number!

On Wednesday 17th June 2009, Coastal Medical Group invited Dr Hannan to come and talk about how Haughton Thornley Medical Centres has enabled patients to access their medical records so that they can learn from the experience. GPs, nurses, patients, the IT manager and practice manager as well as PCT IT staff came together to hear more and ask further questions about the service we are offering.
